I am Geneviève, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in private practice. I offer psychotherapy support to women going through sacred transitions such as pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause and menopause.
My path to becoming a psychotherapist was shaped not only by professional training, but by lived experience.
Sixteen years ago, after the birth of my child, I experienced a severe postpartum mood disorder (postpartum bipolar disorder and psychosis). What was meant to be a joyful time became a period of profound emotional disorientation, vulnerability, and inner struggle. At the time, I did not yet have the language—or the support—to fully understand what was happening within me. What I did have was a deep longing for relief, meaning, and hope.
That experience became the beginning of a soul commitment to understanding the perinatal period and the psychological transformations women undergo during major life transitions.
Over the past 16 years, I have immersed myself in learning about pregnancy, postpartum mental health, and maternal identity. I am certified in Perinatal Mental Health, and I continue to deepen my clinical knowledge through ongoing education, supervision, and practice. My work is informed by both evidence-based training and a profound respect for women’s lived realities.
Years later, as I entered perimenopause, I encountered another unexpected threshold—one marked by severe physical changes, mental exhaustion, emotional shifts, and a renewed questioning of identity. Once again, I was reminded that transitions do not end with motherhood. They continue throughout a woman’s life, asking us to release old versions of ourselves and integrate new ones.
Throughout my own healing journey, I discovered Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy—as a client, and as a practitioner. My personal IFS work allowed me to meet the parts of myself shaped by fear, grief, overwhelm and survival with compassion rather than judgment. Over time, this process led to greater inner calm, clarity, and a deeper, more sustainable experience of joy—not as a constant state, but as a reliable inner resource. I found myself, and I made a commitment to care for her passionately.

Nature has also been a steady source of grounding and restoration for me. Time spent outdoors—walking, observing cycles, reconnecting with the natural world and photographing its wonders—continues to support my own regulation and informs the rhythm and presence I bring into the therapy room.

Today, I offer psychotherapy with humility, warmth, and deep respect for each woman’s inner world. I understand firsthand how isolating and disorienting life transitions can feel—and how transformative it can be to be truly met during those moments.
My work is guided by the belief that healing is possible, that our inner Self carries wisdom, and that joy can re-emerge when we are supported in becoming whole again.
